The ISHKA Suti collection is handmade in India from recycled saris which are sorted into colours and patterns then cut down into various shapes. These cloth shapes are pasted onto a fabric backing in a patchwork design. Once this tapestry is set, it is passed on to housewives of a village who hand stitch the patchwork together. Here, shells and sequins are added to make a one-of-a-kind piece.
